How to Make Your Juices Last Longer

Juicing fresh fruits & vegetables is something I’ve enjoyed doing for almost a decade now! My followers know my beverage intake only consists of: water, tea, espresso, tequila, beer (on occassion) & fresh juice. I can’t tell you the last time I had a soda or store bought juice, but if I had to guess…I’d say back in college… 2014ish.

Anyhow! If you’re a juicer or new to juicing. I’m sure you’ve observed how quickly your juices spoil or began to get bitter, so you think it’s not worth it, but it iiissss!

I’ve experienced this myself, here are two tips to help your juices last longer:

  1. Add Ginger, Lemon & Lime juice to every juice. These are natural preservatives that will help your juices last longer. I don’t actually measure the amount, but to guesstimate, I’d say about 2 or 3 TBSP. Not too much, these three juices can overpower a juice quickly! My juices have lasted up to seven days.

  2. Create Ice Cubes. I love doing this when I batch juice, freezing your juices ensures they remain as fresh as the first day you made them. You can also put your mason jar in the freezer but I prefer cubes to make flavored ice water. It’s the easiest to make & to melt the cubes. My juice cubes have lasted up to two months in the freezer! :)

Without the two previous tips, your juices will last in the fridge for about 3-4 days. I’ve found that cucumber juice spoils quuiiicckklllyyy. So if that’s on my menu, I always drink that first. I can assure you, after the second day, the taste will be questionable!!
