I Make This Shit Look Easy

I always enjoy the expression that appears on one’s face, once he/she hears how my days go, because they quickly realize—I make this shit look easy. It’s funny how quick it is for one to assume hand-outs are given rather than thinking maybe… just maybe a person has created their own opportunities & continues to do so on a daily basis…

As I continue my “Can I Get a Re-do? commitment from November, I’m chatting with more people, receiving new questions & consultation requests. Some want advice about finding their purpose; some have already jumped but they’re lingering in the air & some just want to be nosey (yeah…Jazzy Baby always peeps game lol).

During each call, I remind the person that we all have 24 hours in a day, seven days a week. There’s ssaaooo much that can be accomplished but you have to:

  1. Be mindful of your actions.

  2. Know your sole purpose shouldn’t be financially related.

When you’re mindful, you become aware of how you’re wasting time—i.e., logging into social media just to scroll, playing a game, napping, going out, taking smoke breaks or gossiping. No matter what the action is, it’s always caused by something & that something is for you to find. I understand some of you may be a parent, but that still doesn’t change the fact that you must act with intention. Intention is one of the “secret ingredients” to growth & success, no matter what your title may be…

The truth of the matter is, you have to apply yourself & create your own opportunities to do what your heart desires. I’m in no way saying it’s easy—grieving, having a daily job, working out, staying eff boy free, marathon training, following my dreams, maintaining all content for xoJR & creating websites for clients… it’s not easy. The easy part is choosing myself, every single day & that’s why I’m able to balance it all… I enjoy it. So when I say, “I make this shit look easy”, I’m merely acknowledging the statement because I know you see the reflection of the joy I feel internally & I pray you believe in yourself enough to work (or continue to work) just as hard.

So choose yourself, believe in yourself & I bet you can make this shit look easy too.
