Screw That, Do This
I’ve noticed a common denominator amongst those who find it difficult to meal prep/figure out what to eat—especially for dinner—they’re too structured in their thoughts of what dinner is “supposed” to be. Sometimes all you need is a bowl with two or three foods—not a 6oz steak, shrimp, bread, rice, spinach and potatoes. Trust me when I say, if you’re eating properly during the day & drinking 1 liter-gallon of water, you don’t need a five course meal for dinner.
Unless you’re in the process of becoming a body builder, relax!! There is more than one way to nourish your body. Transitioning into a healthier lifestyle means try new things & let go of your old habits…
I understand meal prepping has caused many to think they are required to eat the same meals every single day but I’m here to tell you this is not the case. Have fun! You can meal prep whatever the heck you want, just make sure it’s of foods that will benefit your body & strengthen your immune system.
My prepping schedule:
Sundays: Prep meals for Monday-Wednesday
Wednesdays: Prep meals for Thursday-Saturday
Sometimes I decide to prep for the entire week, if so, it’s of different meals, never the same, unless I’m prepping for a detox or shoot. This may seem like a lot of cooking but it’s actually much less than being in the kitchen everyday/night.
So, I want you to let go of that structured meal mind you have. Throw two of your favorite foods together in one pan, add two veggies & enjoy!
