Relishing the Flavor, Not Chasing the Buzz
In a world where coffee is often seen as a necessary fuel to jumpstart the day, it’s easy to forget the simple pleasure of enjoying coffee purely for its taste.
Let's take a moment to celebrate coffee as a delightful sensory experience rather than a mere caffeine explosion.
As a non-coffee, coffee drinker (lol), I avoid coffee simply because I love it so much. I don’t own a coffee maker, espresso machine, Keurig—none of those things—because I know, without a doubt, I’d just drink coffee all day!
Other reasons I avoid coffee daily:
Stained Teeth
Dehydration
Suppressed Appetite
Caffeine
On the days I decide to enjoy coffee, it’s almost always a homemade Iced Shaken Espresso. Here’s my recipe:
-
Ingredients:
Ice
1 shot of espresso
1/2 cup of plant-based milk (Oat & Coconut Milk are my fav)
1 TSP of brown sugar
Optional: Hazelnut creamer for a little razzle dazzle
What to Do:
Add brown sugar to glass
Pour in hot shot of espresso to dissolve sugar
Allow the mixture to cool
Add ice
Pour in your milk of choice
Shake vigorously
Drink UPPPP!
Add Mocha or Caramel flavored WhipShots for a little razzle dazzle!
I prefer espresso because it allows me to use more oat milk, which helps balance out the caffeine, without losing the coffee taste. This way, I can indulge in the rich flavors of coffee without consuming too much caffeine.
So, instead of relying on coffee to kickstart your day, consider scheduling your coffee time later in the day and simply enjoy the wonderful taste it has to offer!
