The Best Way to Meet New People

If you find it difficult to meet new people, I’m here to solve your issue—attend a local fitness event, join a running club, register for a group workout class at a gym or search nearby studios for: Zumba, Calisthenic, Yoga or Pilates. Trust me when I say attending fitness events/activities are some of the easiest ways to meet people because there will be one moment when you & your neighbor are suffering, you’ll make eye contact like “what the F?!” & you may try to motivate one another orrrr you’ll make eye contact, tap out & laugh together or at each other.

Do not allow the thought of a fitness class intimidate you. There aren’t professionals lined up ready to insult how horrible your form is, it’s actually A LOT of fun. The photos in this blog are from a SweatPals event that I attended in Miami. SweatPals is a platform that was created to help bring people together by promoting various fitness events (you can search your area). As mentioned on their website, “Fitness had this incredible power to bring people together, transcending boundaries of origin, religion, or accent. SweatPals is all about making fitness a universal language of unity.” The Founder, Salar, “struggled to connect in a new country due to language and cultural barriers, until he joined his first run club.”

This was my first SweatPals event & it certainly will not be my last. Although I was insanely exhausted from joining multiple workout classes during the 8-hour event, I’d totally do it again! There were many times when I had the “look to your neighbor” moment to see if I was the only person struggling &&&& I tapped out! 😂 So don’t worry about being a perfectionist or worried about being the weakest link… you’re only the weakest link if you don't show up for yourself.

Even if there aren’t any SweatPals events in your area, search for the activities that I mentioned above—search for local fitness events, join a running club, register for a group workout class at a gym or search nearby studios for: Zumba, Calisthenic, Yoga or Pilates. You have options & I can guarantee that you’ll end up meeting more people than you imagined.
