Be the Opportunity: Six Sources of Income

One of my life goals is to have at least six sources of income. For a while, I thought I was considered “all over the place” for being interested in different areas that aren’t related. Until I realized this is how I’m going to obtain my goal.

In high school, I worked not because I had to, I wanted to. Heck, at one point, I had two jobs. I’ve always enjoyed working. It’s how I learned the business life. I remember the day I interviewed at party city (my second job), it was after a lady who I def thought had the job. But fortunately, I was wrong. During my evaluation a year later, I shared this with my manager at the time, Bert—who told me to never doubt myself in life. No matter what it is or who I’m against. That was my first lesson of doing business & I carry it with me everyday.

One day I wrote down everything I was interested in & thought: “how the entire eff u cee kay?!” Then I heard “be the opportunity” & that’s exactly what I started to do. The prime example of me becoming the opportunity is my website! Early in my modeling career, I wanted to promote more & be published by more companies but instead of waiting for someone else to put me in the position… I did it myself! Never put your opportunities in someone else’s hands—whatever you want, you can make it happen. You just have to work for it: will it be harder? Yes. Will it be worth every exhausting second of your life? Absofuckinlutely.

Take Richard Branson for another example, his entire virgin empire was built from a I can do this & that better. He is the prime example of be the opportunity— he challenges existing companies based on his experiences with them. So no matter what your dreams are, work to make them come true. I’ve accomplished many goals & have been blessed with dreams that have came true but I’m still on my journey & i enjoy it everyday!
