Pushing Balance
In January, I noticed how people set multiple goals or made sudden actions (because new year, new me) without finding their balance first. So many of us spread ourselves too thin merely because we don’t take the time to analyze the situations at hand. If this is you, allow your goals to take the back seat as you find your balance, let’s chat!
Ground Yourself & Set an Intention
To do this, you don’t need anyone else. Take time alone to settle in your space, lay all of your cards on the table & set an intention for each. You may not find an intention for everything & that’s how you’ll began to notice the bulk of miscellaneous duties in your world…often times, causing you to lose balance.
Fun fact, holding your ear helps you balance
Be Mindful
What ifs can drive you insane, so always look at everything in its entirety. If you come across a card you’ve dealt previously… being mindful may mean making the decision to remove that card from your deck, for good. Acknowledge what has & has not worked for you…admitting if you truly gave your all. Sometimes, fear can cause us to walk away from a door that could be life changing.
Be conscious of your thoughts, feelings, actions & memories
Take Your Time
Don’t rush the process. Carefully take a look to not only see the necessities but acknowledge what you want. We focus so much on needs; however, acquiring what we want is the key to putting ourselves first.
Don’t procrastinate
Communicate
Do it consistently & do it effectively, it’s the most salient life-skill for any of us to have—not just with others but yourself.
Be thorough, say what you mean & mean what you say
Stand Your Ground
Be confident in your decisions & trust that you can always count on yourself. No matter how impossible it may seem, you will find your balance—find your focal point & use your strength to stay there.
Tranquility
The state you feel after finding your balance, understanding it starts with putting yourself first. Once the feeling overcomes you, allow yourself to endure what it has to offer and remember the moments that challenged you the most.
